To meet global data privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the primary owner of a tenant organisation (your club or association that you registered with) may be obligated to delete a member’s profile information. We’ve outlined some key details below for both members and tenant owners, but contact us if you have questions.

#### **Some background**

- Deletion is permanent - once profile information is removed, it can't be recovered.
- The primary owner of a tenancy controls the data (we call this **Customer Data**). This includes all information on members, along with member profile information.
- Members may have the right to request their profile information be deleted by the primary owner. As the data controller, the primary owner is responsible for determining whether profile information requires deletion.
- Only the primary owner of a tenant organisation can delete a member’s profile information. A primary owner can also contact Dribl to request assistance.

> **Note:** We don’t recommend deleting profiles for administrative purposes as this can impact the usability and integrity of data. If a member has multiple accounts or profiles, [follow these recommendations to consolidate them](https://dribl.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MYA/pages/18481239).

#### **What is profile information?**

When we refer to member profile information, here’s what’s included:

- Display name
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Profile picture
- Phone numbers
- Residential address
- Email address


The following content is not considered profile information and will not be deleted as part of a request to remove a member’s personal information:

- A member’s message content from any groups or direct messages
- Competition management data
- Registration data
- Purchase history and transactions
- Audit logs

> **Note:** A request to delete your profile information is not a guarantee that it will be deleted. Only the primary owner of a Dribl tenancy or organisation can decide if they will comply with your request.
