Matches can be called off (abandoned) by a match official if continuing the game is deemed unsafe for spectators, players, team officials, or the officials themselves. Reasons for abandoning a match include:

- Life-threatening weather conditions, such as lightning
- Weather that renders the field unplayable
- Concerns for crowd safety, such as a suspicious package, pitch invasions, or violent behaviour
- Failed stadium lighting
- Serious injury to a player or official

Abandoned games are documented on the match sheet by a Match Official or Club Reporter as part of the post-game administrative process.

To abandon a match, complete the following steps:

1. Open the ***DRIBL ***app.
2. Tap :Match_Centre: **Match Centre **from the navigation bar and select **Schedule**.
3. Locate and select the match you need to administer.
4. Tap on **Match Sheet**.
5. Select the **Abandon Match **option from the **Post Game** section.
6. Tap  :Add:  to add an **Incident Report **and specify all the relevant information.

8. Tap on :Available:  to acknowledge that you are abandoning the match.
9. Tap on **Abandon Match**.** **
