During the knockout stages of a competition, if the score is still tied after regular or extra time, a penalty shootout may be used to decide the winner.

Match officials have the ability to log **penalty shootout** events, including the details of each penalty kick and its outcome.

> ℹ️ The option to enter the details for a **penalty shootout **in a match** **is determined by the configuration specified by the local competition administrator. If you cannot see the option to enter the **penalty shootout **details, but believe you should be able to for the specific match you have officiated - please contact your local competition administrator.

## Add penalty shootout details

To add a new penalty shootout entry, complete the following steps: 

1. Open the ***DRIBL ***app.
2. Tap :Match_Centre: **Match Centre **from the navigation bar and select **Schedule**.
3. Locate and select the match you need to administer.
4. Tap on **Match Sheet**.
5. Select the **Penalty Shootout **option from the **Game** section.
6. Tap :Circle-Plus: to select the team taking the first penalty.
7. Select the **Player **taking the penalty.
8. Tap on :Penalty-Goal: **scored **or :Penalty-Miss: **missed** to specify the result.
9. Tap :Circle-Plus: to select the alternate team and repeat the process until a winner is determined.

## Update penalty shootout details

To update an existing penalty shootout entry, complete the following steps: 

1. Open the ***DRIBL ***app.
2. Tap :Match_Centre: **Match Centre **from the navigation bar and select **Schedule**.
3. Locate and select the match you need to administer.
4. Tap on **Match Sheet**.
5. Select the **Penalty Shootout **option from the **Game** section.
6. Locate and tap on the applicable penalty shootout entry and select **Update**.
7. Tap on the players profile picture to change the player.
8. Tap on :Penalty-Goal: **scored **or :Penalty-Miss: **missed** to change the result.

## Delete penalty shootout details

To delete an existing penalty shootout entry, complete the following steps: 

1. Open the ***DRIBL ***app.
2. Tap :Match_Centre: **Match Centre **from the navigation bar and select **Schedule**.
3. Locate and select the match you need to administer.
4. Tap on **Match Sheet**.
5. Select the **Penalty Shootout **option from the **Game** section.
6. Locate and tap on the last penalty shootout entry and select **Delete**.

> Penalty shootout entries can only be deleted in reverse order, beginning with the last entry and continuing as needed.
