### Overview

Blockouts allow you to specify a period of time that no fixtures can be scheduled for a specific: Competition, League, Age Group, Ground or Field.


To create a blockout, complete the following steps:  
 

1. [Login](https://app.dribl.com/signin/) to ***DRIBL***
2. Select **blockouts** from the **Actions** menu or the main navigation menu.
3. Click **+**(Create) from the task menu. The **Create New blockout** form is displayed.
4. Enter all the required information for the blockout.

| Name | Enter the name of the blockout. |
| --- | --- |
| Type | Specify the type of blockout you would like to create:<br>- Competition
- League
- Age Group
- Ground
- Field |
| Blockout | This lists all records of the selected Type. Select the relevant item. |
| Start Date/Time  
End Date/Time | Start & End Date & Time blockout applies to.<br>Note - This blockout will only apply to any fixture that is created after the new blockout was created.<br>Any existing fixtures that have already been scheduled to the selected blockout period will remain unchanged.<br>If these fixtures are affected by the newly created blockout, they will need to be manually rescheduled via the standard reschedule process.<br>It is recommended to create all known blockouts prior to commencing fixturing to ensure fixtures are not allocated to the blocked out period. |
| League Size Required | Select this option to specify that this blockout will only apply to leagues of a certain size. For example, set this parameter to 8 to only include leagues that subscribe to the 8-team composition set in the Football Calendar. |
| Strategy | Select the League Strategy that the blockout will apply to.<br>- Standard
- Multiheader |

5. Click **Create**.
