Fixtures

Overview To begin generating fixtures for a League, the following must be completed: All teams are created and placed in their correct Divisions and Age Groups (team members are not required to be attached as this can be done at a later point if needed). League Compositions have been created and linked to the correct Divisions and Age Groups in the Football Calendar. Leagues have been generated and the rounds are displayed (greyed out) in the Leagues page. Fixturing can be completed in bulk or partially for a Competition, League, or specific round. Coloured indicators will display if a full or partial scheduling of fixtures has occurred via the F icon in each grid item. Grey – no fixtures scheduled Orange – partial scheduling complete—this may indicate a bye match for a particular round Green – all fixtures scheduled There are three options to choose from when fixturing matches. The first is through Bulk Actions which caters to larger organisations with many leagues and competitions. The second is Toggle Multiselect which allows you to select multiple leagues and/or fixtures at a time from the Leagues page. Finally, fixtures can be scheduled individually.

To generate fixtures using Bulk Actions, complete the following steps:
 

1. Log in to Dribl.

2. Select Leagues from the Actions menu or the main navigation menu.

3. Select the relevant Competition from the upper centre of the page.

4. Click(Bulk Actions) from the task menu.

5. Select Generate Fixtures.

6. Specify up to which round fixtures will generate. Note that shorter competitions can be bulk actioned alongside longer competitions. The system will simply generate fixtures up to the maximum round set for the shorter competition while continuing to generate the longer competitions. Select This Round Only to generate fixtures only for the specified round.

7. Click Next.

8. Confirm the leagues to generate fixtures for. Toggle off any leagues that are to be skipped (the toggle will change from green to red).

9. Click Next.

10. For Club Balance Optimisation, select Enable to ensure that the total number of matches played are balanced across each club. This creates an even foundation and works well for large associations.

11. Click Next.

12. Click Generate.

13. Click Return to Menu.

14. Click(Refresh Leagues) to refresh the page and view all changes.

To generate fixtures using Toggle Multiselect, complete the following steps:
 

1. Log in to Dribl.

2. Select Leagues from the Actions menu or the main navigation menu.

3. Select the relevant Competition from the upper centre of the page.

4. Click(Toggle Multiselect) from the task menu.

5. Click(Toggle All) next to each league to toggle all the fixtures for the league or toggle rounds one at a time by clicking the individual round.

6. Once you have selected all applicable rounds, click Selected n Rounds from the task menu. This will provide you with options to fixture or delete fixtures.

7. Click(Refresh Leagues) to refresh the page and view all changes.

To generate fixtures individually, complete the following steps:
 

1. Log in to Dribl.

2. Select Leagues from the Actions menu or the main navigation menu.

3. Select the relevant Competition from the upper centre of the page.

4. Click the F icon on the relevant round and then click Fixture.
