This article is for: Referee Administrators |
OverviewPanels are used to group Referees by level to ensure the integrity of officiating matches is maintained. Panels define the relationship between Referees and the applicable types of roles within matches they can officiate across a competition. This then provides the structure that can drive the allocation of Referees to the applicable matches they can referee, either as a centre referee, assistant referee, fourth official or game leader. |
To create a Panel, complete the following steps:
-
Select Panels from the Actions menu or the main navigation menu.
-
Click +(Create) from the task menu. The Create Panel form is displayed.
-
Enter all the relevant information for the Panel.
Name The panel name. Competitions The competitions that the panel is applicable for. Age Groups The age groups that the panel is applicable for. Divisions The divisions that the panel is applicable for. Enable Age Threshold If applicable, select Enabled and set the age threshold.
- Click Create.
Note that the application of the Competitions, Age Groups and Divisions is aggregated.
As an example, if the following have been set on a panel:
- Competitions Main
- Age Groups: U14, U16
- Divisions: 01, 02
Then the system would be looking for compositions of matches that match the criteria below, so the suitable Referees are assigned to the corresponding matches.
- Main – U14 – Division 01
- Main – U14 – Division 02
- Main – U16 – Division 01
- Main – U16 – Division 02
Once Panels have been created, Referee Administrators can map the applicable Referees to their correct Panels.
